Oh dear, it’s an edamame bean!  Ok, so yes.  I started my plants way too early.  It will still be at least a month before they go off to their new homes and I’m already seeing signs of produce…I’m having a lot of conflicting feelings about this.  I love the idea of giving these plants away with fruit attached, but I don’t want to repot anything, so I’m going to push it for as long as I can.  I feel that this is a solid plan.

Saturday mornings seem to always involve dirt.  I’ve been staring at the edamame getting much too big for the seed tray and the overcrowded beefsteak tomatoes for the past few days and the guilt finally got to me.

Tip for repotting: Repot your seedlings after their second set of leaves have grown or the roots have outgrown the container.
